Kaunas Castle is a symbolic and historic fortress located at the confluence of the Nemunas and Neris rivers in Kaunas, Lithuania. Dating back to the 14th century, the castle is one of the oldest stone fortresses in the country and a key monument of Lithuania’s medieval heritage. Built in Gothic style, the castle served as a strategic defense point against the Teutonic Knights and played a crucial role in protecting the Grand Duchy of Lithuania during the Medieval period.
